CAPT William W. Wheeler III has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Wheeler is currently serving as executive assistant to commander, US Naval Forces, Europe; Commander, US Naval Forces Africa, and Commander, Joint Allied Forces Command, Naples, Italy.
