RDML Fernandez L. Ponds, Class of 2005, will be assigned as commander, Joint Task Force Guantanamo, US Southern Command, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Ponds is currently serving as commander, Expeditionary Strike Group THREE and commander, Amphibious Group THREE, San Diego, CA.
