General Mattis will also deliver the keynote address at the event, which will be held in Philadelphia – the birthplace of the Marine Corps – on Monday, November 18, 2013. His topic: Reflections of a Combatant Commander in a Turbulent World.

RADM Frank A. Morneau will be assigned as commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command/commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command Pacific, Virginia Beach, Va. Morneau is currently serving as deputy director, expeditionary warfare, N95B, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, DC.

For the past five years, federal watchdog Steve Lord has been looking at airport body scanners and baggage screening equipment differently than most of the traveling public, focusing an objective, critical eye on airport security systems and machinery, and informing powerful people about what he sees.
