Brig. Gen. Jay B. Silveria, deputy chief, support, Office of Security Cooperation - Iraq, U.S. Department of State, Baghdad, Iraq, has been assigned to be vice commander, 14th Air Force (Air Forces Strategic), Air Force Space Command, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

Makila James was nominated for the appointment of United States Ambassador to Swaziland by President Obama. She was confirmed by the Senate on July 31, 2011 and sworn in as the United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Swaziland on August 27, 2012.
