Anne Pham was also credited in Rory Kennedy's new documentary, "Last Days in Vietnam." The documentary covers the interagency evacuation that saved many lives, including hers. The documentary utilized some of the research Pham subsequently conducted while on the Faculty at the National Defense University ICAF/Eisenhower School. Lee E. Surut, Army Major General who led National War College, dies at 89
Wednesday, 06 August 2014 Published in From the RotundaLee E. Surut, a retired Army major general who served as a division artillery commander during the Vietnam War and later as commandant of the National War College, died July 20 at a hospital in Seattle. He was 89.

This book was published on 6 August, 2013. Earlier editions were entitled Taking Charge and, later, Rules and Tools for Leaders: A Down-to-Earth Guide to Effective Managing. Translated into five languages, the earlier editions of this book have been quite successful (more than 300,000 in print).
Welcoming the new Commandant: BG Guy "Tom" Cosentino
Monday, 10 June 2013 Published in From the RotundaThe NWC Alumni Association welcomes the incoming NWC Commandant, BG Guy "Tom" Cosentino. General Cosentino will join the College in mid-July. Ambassador Jim Foley, who has been Commandant since December, 2012 will return to his position as Deputy Commandant. We will have a strong team to lead The College forward in the future challenging years.

On Friday, May 3, 2013, the National War College with the Classes of 2010 and 2013 held a memorial service and tree planting to honor 2010 graduate AMB Chris Stevens, who was killed in a terrorist attack on the US diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012. AMB Steven's family attended the service and the tree planting.
